MakerTrueMargin Chrome extension — privacy policy

This policy applies to the TrueMargin Chrome extension (Etsy + Printify profit calculator) published by Maker Tool Stack.
Summary
TrueMargin runs calculations locally in your browser. We do not sell your data. We do not track your Etsy or Printify activity.
Data stored on your device
- Daily calculation count — to enforce the free tier (5 per day)
- Pro license status — if you activate TrueMargin Pro with a Gumroad license key
- Anonymous analytics id — a random id used only to count product events (not linked to your identity)
This data stays in Chrome local storage on your device. It is not synced to a Maker Tool Stack account.
Network requests
The extension contacts the internet in these cases:
- Pro license — when you paste a license key, it is sent to Gumroad (
api.gumroad.com) to confirm your subscription. We do not receive your payment details. - Anonymous product analytics — install, panel open, calculation used, and free-limit reached are sent to Google Analytics so we can see whether TrueMargin is useful. We do not send sale prices, costs, emails, or page content.
Links in the extension may open Maker Tool Stack or Gumroad checkout pages in a new tab.
Page access
On etsy.com and printify.com, TrueMargin injects a calculator button. When you open the calculator, it may read visible price fields on the page to pre-fill inputs. That text is processed locally and is not transmitted to us.
What we do not collect
- No account or login required for the free tier
- No advertising SDKs or cross-site tracking for ads
- No browsing history beyond the anonymous product events above
Children
TrueMargin is a business tool for sellers. It is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The extension version in the Chrome Web Store will reflect material changes.
